Ranging from end-to-end payroll outsourcing to process management for each function between employee time entry and employee and third party payments, Deloitte Consulting Payroll solutions combine best practices, industry expertise, highly trained staff, and integrated technology. This would entail Deloitte Consulting providing all or selected of the following services to the client.
Payroll Preparation:
  • Updating of Payroll system for these employees:
    • Monthly (temporary) pay information
    • Fixed (permanent) pay information
    • Changes to Master data:
      • New engagements, terminations, promotions, capturing of salary increases, etc.
      • Legislative changes
Payroll Processing:
  • Review payroll results (dummy pay runs)
  • Final pay run procedure
  • Printing of reports
    • Pay slips (paper/electronic)
    • Deduction Schedules to third parties
    • HR reports (head count, absenteeism’s, leave balances, new employments, terminations, etc.)
    • Reconciliation of pay run reports
    • IRP 5 certificates
    • Year End Procedure (Tax)
  • Leave and Sick Leave management

  • Interface with the majority of client systems

Our payroll technology includes web-based capability through which we could provide clients with on-line query facilities.
Internal controls.
The following internal controls are maintained:
  • Hands-on management support
  • Change management controls for system changes
  • Monthly reconciliation of pay runs
  • Monthly reconciliation to trust accounts (trust accounts are created for clients to manage the pay runs)
Compliance management.
In addition to the internal controls mentioned above, our systems are fully compliant with all tax, legislative and statutory requirements.
Reporting and analysis.
The systems used provide a superior query and report writing tool with the emphasis on top quality management reports and graphs. Data is easy to extract and analyse. Reports are also easy to modify.
Ability to respond to changes in the client / industry requirements.
To date the system has met all existing clients requirements identified during our initial analysis. The system also has the capability to meet the anticipated future requirements of human resource management.
